Have the hair you have always dreamed of...with micro ring hair extensions.

October 30, 2016

If you could change one thing about your hair, what would it be?

Does you hair always seem to lack body and volume no matter what you try and persuade it to do? Or have you been growing your hair for years, but it seems to be taking a lifetime?

Hair extensions can conjure up images of tacky waist length hair, that looks false (i.e. Katie Price!) and leaves your own hair in tatters. Most people would never consider that many women, whose seemingly natural hair they admire in the media, rely on the aid of hair extensions too. Good hair extensions should look completely natural. They should not cause damage to your own hair either. They can be used for many different reasons, so the time and maintenance they require varies greatly. For example, if you are only aiming to add body and thickness to your hair; the hair extensions can be applied like highlights, without the expensive and maintenance of a full head of extensions. This is also a good option if you want to use the extensions as a different method to add colour to your hair without dying it.

Why pick micro ring hair extensions? They require no heat or glue; they are simply clamped in place by a small bead to match the colour of your hair. This means they are not such a massive commitment to make, as they are easily removed and do not damage your hair, if correctly cared for. You can also re use the hair once removed, unlike other methods. They can also be moved up the hair and re-positioned as your hair grows.

If you are considering changing your look and getting micro ring hair extensions, here is a quick guide of things to consider before you make the commitment, as they do require treating with care, so they last the maximum amount of time. If you feel unsure please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may think of, to prevent damaging your hair.

Care

-Are you prepared to wash your hair only two or three times a week?

-What parts of your lifestyle may affect the extensions? Do you like to swim daily? Or are you required to have your hair tied up for work?

-Are you willing to commit the time to following the after care instructions properly? Such as using a soft bristled hairbrush and taking the time to brush them thoroughly twice a day.

Cost (Approximates for a guide)

Consultation

£10 (will be refunded if booking made) A deposit of total cost of hair once agreed on colour/s and quality/length of hair to be used.

-The initial cost of the hair and application (starting from £150)

-6-8 week’s maintenance appointment

-3 months. Removal. Extensions can be reapplied. You will be able to use the same hair so only the cost of application.

What to expect

Despite the high maintenance, many women love having extensions so much they wear them all year round. They can transform your hair by adding length, highlights of different colours, thickness and volume. Once fitted, you can style them as you would the rest of your hair, as long as you avoid applying heat to the bonds. They can last up to 5 months.
